Nancy Lee Palmer Macaluso passed away March 17, 2007. The daughter of Frank and Hazel Palmer, Mrs. Macaluso graduated from Primero High School in Trinidad, Colo., and earned a business degree in Denver. She worked numerous years in women's retail at the Diana Shop, was an active volunteer for Our Lady of the Meadows Catholic Church and Sangre de Cristo Hospice. Mrs. Macaluso was a leading spirit in both the Bosom Buddies Breast Cancer Support Group and the ABC Support Group in Pueblo. Nancy touched numerous breast cancer survivors with her positive outlook and her motivated encouragement. Nancy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Nick J. Macaluso; and in-laws, John and Grace Macaluso. Survivors include her daughter, Debbie (Jim) Hartman, Trinidad; son, Rick Macaluso, Pueblo; grandchildren, Josh, (Mindy, Kaylie), and Denise Hartman; other survivors include sisters-in-law, Audrey Miller, Trinidad, Donna Zupancic, Pueblo; brother-in-law, Frank "Buddy" (Cindy) Macaluso, Pueblo; and numerous nieces and nephews; as well as long time friends, Joanne and Dennis Snyder. Nancy was an artist who enjoyed knitting, the Broncos, her garden and family. She was a member of Our Lady of the Meadows Church. Visitation, 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home. Funeral Mass, 2 p.m. Wednesday, Our Lady of the Meadows Church, 23 Starling. Interment, Imperial Memorial Gardens.
