Death of Mrs. Wm. Woolworth--The death of Mrs. Woolworth brings a feeling of personal loss to many friends in her own neighborhood and in her wide circle of acquaintances in the Baptist church of this village. Her genial nature and large hearted sympathy made her seem like a mother to the young people and common friend of all who met her. The secret fortitude with which she bore her pain, and her cheerful faith and unselfish life are worthy of imitation and her many deeds of kindness will keep her memory green among those who knew her best.
---At a meeting of the Adams Baptist Sunday-school, the following preamble and resolutions were adopted:
WHEREAS, It has pleased our heavenly Father, in His goodness and mercy, to remove from our midst to brighter reams above, our dear sister, Mrs. Angeline Woolworth, who for the last thirty-two years has been a faithful efficient teacher in our Sunday-school.
Resolved, That in the death of Mrs. Woolworth, we lose one of our strong workers, one whom we had long looked up to as a leader and counselor, one whose place, we fear, must long remain vacant. May the God of all grace help us to bear our love, and will He not raise up some one to fill the vacancy.
Resolved, That while we mourn her loss, we recall with thankful hearts the beautiful example she has left as a rich legacy for us who remain.
Resolved, That her pure, true, womanly, christina character, her devotion to her home and friends, the church and every good word and work, command our highest respect and admiration.
Resolved, That we extend to our brother, Deacon Woolworth, our sincere sympathy in his affliction, and trust he may find true consolation in the Savior's loving presence.
Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be presented to our brother, Deacon Woolworth, also entered upon the Sunday-school record and printed in the Jefferson County Journal.
