A Delanson signal and maintenance man on the Delaware and Hudson railroad for 43 years, 62 year old Howard H. Palmer, died yesterday in Ellis Hospital in Schenectady where he had been a patient for four days.

He was born in Jefferson and had lived in Delanson for 22 years.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Helen Hopper Palmer; a son. Earl C. Palmer, Scotia; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas H. Clark, Delanson; two sisters, Mrs. Harvey Slater and Mrs. Lewis Slater, Cobleskill; an aunt, Mrs. Mertie Clapper, Cobleskill; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the White funeral home, Delanson, with the Rev. Darrell Bays, pastor of the Methodist Church there, officiating.

Burial is to be in Grove Cemetery, Quaker Street, NY.
