Beatrice S. Marden
THORNTON -- Beatrice S. Marden, 84, of Beatrice Lane died Dec. 5, 2006, at home after a long illness.
She was born in Salem, Mass., on Feb. 16, 1922, to Harry L. and Beatrice (Smith) Palmer.
She moved to Hawthorne, N.J., at age 5 and then back to Salem in 1937.
She graduated from Salem High School in 1939.
She resided in Marblehead, Mass., and Peabody Mass., for many years. She resided in Buchanan, N.Y., for 13 years and in Thornton since 1983.
She worked as an office clerk in the insurance industry in New York and Massachusetts for many years. She also worked in the reservations department of Jack'O Lantern Resort in Woodstock.
She was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit Episcopal Church in Plymouth and Chapter O of the PEO.
The family includes her husband of 63 years, Harry F. Marden; sons Scott P. Marden Sr. of Sterling, Mass., and Richard L. Marden of Reading, Mass.; two grandchildren; one great-grandson; brother Harry L. Palmer of Marblehead; nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: There are no calling hours.
A memorial service is Friday at 2 p.m. in the Church of the Holy Spirit, Main Street in Plymouth, with the Rev. Susan Ackley officiating.
Burial will be in Waterside Cemetery in Marblehead.
Memorial donations may be made to the Pemi-Baker Home Health Agency, Highland Street, Plymouth 03264.
The Mayhew Funeral Home in Plymouth is in charge of the arrangements.
