Marie Elizabeth Palette, born Marie Catherine Miller, was the daughter of Benjamin N. Miller (an immigrant from Bavaria, Germany) and Theresa A. Gudenburr. She was born and baptized Roman Catholic in Pittsburgh, PA. Marie had two siblings, William and George.
She married John W. Palette on October 3, 1923 in Hubbard, Ohio. To Marie and John Palette, were born 7 children. They raised their family in Howland, Ohio.
Marie was very active in the Blue Star mothers, in which all five of her sons and her husband, served the US in the military. Marie worked in the local military factory helping in the production of ammunition in WWII.
Marie enjoyed crocheting and created many beautiful afghans. Her family and her friends were very important to Marie, even until her death at 87 years of age in Warren, Ohio.
