(January 8, 1924 - February 10, 2012)
Vicente (Vince) Palasciano lost a valiant fight and was called into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on February 10, 2012. His courage and sense of humor remained with him to the end. He was a remarkable example of grace under trial.
Vince was born in Alberobello, Italy on January 8, 1924.
Raised in Italy as a child, he migrated across the Atlantic waters to Buenos Aires, Argentina with his family in his early teens. Courageously, at age 38, Vince embarked on another epic journey with his wife and four young children to the land of opportunity – the United States arriving in Miami on March 22, 1962.
Vince became a tailor apprentice as a teenager in Buenos Aires and attended night school while working to earn his "master degree" in clothing design. Thus began his lifelong passion for tailoring. His exceptional trade skills touched the lives of many customers throughout his career. He remained active in his full-time life passion until age 84. During the past 4 years of semi-retirement, he continued to nourish his life with his work and his family.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, 3 sons; 1 daughter, 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
A memorial service celebrating Vince's life will be held February 27, 2012 at 10 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 1705 E. Peters Colony Road, Carrollton, Texas 75007.
