Melvina Emily Painter was the daughter of George Leonivus Painter and his first wife, Melvina Jane Graham Painter. She had an older brother and six younger half-siblings from George Leonivus Painter's second marriage to Sarah Olivia Russell.
Melvina Emily Painter married Aubrey Randolph James about 1908. They had five children.
Melvina Emily Painter was a niece of my ancestor, Matthew Alexander Painter, and a granddaughter of William Alexander Painter and Rebecca Haley Painter.
