Funeral services for Bessie Brown, age 93, of Como, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 1, 2009, at Greenpond Baptist Church. Rev. Lloyd Cashion and Richard Teer will officiate.
Interment will follow services in the Greenpond Cemetery, with Andy Froneberger, J.L. Rogers, Tim Brown, Tony Stewart, Alan Moss, Billy Moss, and Tim Butts serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 6:00 t0 8:00 p.m., Saturday, February 28, 2009, at Murray-Orwoksy Funeral Home.

Mrs. Brown passed away on Friday, February 27, 2009, at Presbyterian Hosptial in Winnsboro. She was born in DeKalb, Texas, on February 14, 1916, the daughter of Charlie and Flossie Moles Page. She married Paul Brown, in Hopkins County, in 1948. He preceded her in death, in 2001.

Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and an a member of Greenpond Baptist Church.

Survivors include: sons, Donny Paul Brown, of Seagoville, Alvin Moss and wife, Cathy, of Winnsboro, Calvin Moss of Como, and Larry Brown of Como; daughters, Virginia Preheim & husband Peter of Allen, Paula Stinson and husband Stever of Quitman, and Janie Cavanaugh and husband Eddy of Como; sisters, Ellie Eddy of Texarkan, Arkansas, and Maggie King of Omaha, Texas; a brother, Marshall Page of Omaha, TX; twenty-one grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Brown.
