Rosanna "Sadie" DeRogatis, age 85, of Ormond Beach, FL, formerly of New Paltz, died Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Oceanside Hospice, Ormond Beach, FL.
Mrs. DeRogatis was born October 3, 1924 in New York City, the daughter of the late Salvatore and the late Mary (Bambara) Pagano. Rosanna was married to Armando DeRogatis for 59 years. He predeceased her on January 15, 2006.
Prior to living in Florida and New Paltz, Rosanna and Armando lived in New City, NY, Slate Hill, Arlington, TX and Kendall Park, NJ.
She retired from the U.S. Postal Service, W. Nyack, NY office.
She was the loving mother to daughter & her husband, Francine & Roger Davis of Ormond Beach, FL; daughter & her husband, Janet & David Gill of Kendall Park, NJ; son, Robert DeRogatis & his fiancee, Kathleen McElroy of Mansfield, TX. Beloved sister to Delores Provanzano, Beatrice Paolo, Joseph Pagano and Ann McDermott; aunt to many nieces and nephews; former daughter-in-law; Janis DeRogatis.
The most loving grandmother in the world to nine grandchildren: Chris Davis, Cher Davis and husband, Mike Galu, Josh Davis and wife, Paije, Jen Davis, Dan Gill and fiancee, Lana Taylor, Todd Gill, Jessica DeRogatis, Ross DeRogatis, Samantha DeRogatis; great-grandmother to Ryan Galu and Morgan Galu.
Rosanna was predeceased by her brother, Mike Pagano.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, October 13, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Copeland Funeral Home, Inc., 162 S. Putt Corners Rd., New Paltz.
The funeral will be Wednesday, October 14, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Rte 44/55, Gardiner.
