STANFORD -- Louella Padgett Howard, 70, Mount Vernon, formerly of Stanford, retired business manager of a Frankfort automobile dealership, mother of Janet Northern, died Saturday.
Services 2 p.m. today, Pleasant Point Cemetery in Kings Mountain. No visitation. Spurlin Funeral Home in charge.

STANFORD -- Louella Padgett Howard, 70, of Stanford, formerly of Waynesburg, died Saturday at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington.
Born April 2, 1930, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Johnny M. and Ellen (Hundley) Padgett. She was a retired business manager for an auto dealership in Frankfort and a member of Pleasant Point Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, George D. Howard of Midland, Texas; two daughters, Patricia Pruitt of Nashville, Tennessee, and Janet Northern of Mount Vernon; a brother, Ralph Padgett of Waynesburg, two sisters, Ruby Privett of Waynesburg and Beatrice Meek of Louisville; and four grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Pleasant Point Cemetery by the Rev. Ken Jewell. Burial will be in Pleasant Point Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Louie Northern, Dan Howard, Craig Padgett, Justin Howard, Ralph Padgett and Price Meek.
Spurlin Funeral Home of Stanford is in charge of arrangements.
