LEUPP — Services for Lucinda Lu Paddock Belin, 41, will be Thursday, April 20, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. (MST) at Leupp Presbyterian Church. Graveside services will follow at Flagstaff Citizens Cemetery.
Belin died on Thursday, April 13. She was born in Winslow, Arizona on June 19, 1964.
She attended school at Birdsprings Head Start, Leupp Public School, Tuba City Schools, Winslow Jr. High, and Southwest Indian School in Peoria, Ariz. After graduating high school in 1982, she attended Eastern Arizona College in Thatcher, Ariz., for 2 years.Lu was a bus driver for approximately 12 years for Leupp Head Start, Flagstaff Unified School District, Leupp Schools, Inc., and STAR School. During her lifetime, Lu was always involved with her church as a youth leader, Sunday school teacher, church elder, choir member, and was a lead soprano singer for Sin Iliinii Singers. She participated in church mission trips around the Navajo Reservation, Germany, Poland, and Czech Republic. She served as a summer camp counselor and tutored children for STAR School's after-school program. She enjoyed playing softball, volleyball, going camping and hiking, singing, listening to music, and watching movies.
Survivors include her husband Jack J. Belin; son Ethan Lukas Belin; daughter Miriam Jacklin Belin, all of Flagstaff, Ariz.; grandmother Ida Mae Paddock of Dilkon, Ariz.; parents Thomas and Evelyn Paddock Sr. of Dilkon, Ariz.; brothers Thomas (Evey) Paddock Jr. of Tempe, Ariz., Ray (Darlene) Paddock of Queen Creek, Ariz., and Charles Oliver (Beverly) Paddock of Leupp, Ariz..
