Thad Parsons Sr., 77, a retired building constructor who had resided in Galveston the past 42 years, died at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Infirmary after a long illness.
Mr. Parsons, who lived at 1428 avenue F, is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Adele Holmes and Mrs. Margaret O'Hara of Galveston, Mrs. Lucille Rutt of Beaumont, Texas, Mrs. Julia Erwin of Burlington, Iowa, and Mrs. Joan Benge of Youngstown, Ohio; five sons, George I. and John Peter Parsons of Galveston; Milton J. and Thad Parsons Jr. of Houston, and Francis J. of Savannah, Ga.; a sister, Mrs. Charles Crotty of Ingram, Texas; a brother, George W. Parsons of Tulsa; 25 grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Malloy & Son funeral home.
