She was united in marriage with Fred Bodtke on February 13, 1912, at St. Paul's. To this marriage four children were born; Clarence of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Viola (Herman) Fangmeier of Hebron, Lucile (Ralph) Bock of Beatrice and Evelyn (Lawrence) Meyer of Lincoln.
The Bodtke's farmed near Gilead until they retired in 1962, moving into Hebron.
Mrs. Bodtke's health was failing since the beginning of the year. She entered Good Samaritan Home in Beatrice where death came on April 30th,1977, at the age of 85 years, 3 months and 20 days.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, Conrad and Henry and by three sisters, Mary Schnegelberger, Sarah Schielke and Margaret Pabst. She is survived by her four children, 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran church in Hebron, where funeral services were held . Interment was at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Gilead, Neb.
