On March 17 2001. Rose M. (nee Oxenford). Age 81. Of Brooklawn NJ. Loving wife of the late Thomas J. Devoted Mother of Robin Jane Ambler of New York and Janet (Robert) Purnell of Brooklawn NJ. Dear sister of Daniel Oxenford of Reading PA. Beloved grandmother of Susan (Jasen) Thompson of Clarksburg MD Emily and Eric Snyder. Beloved great grandmother of Abigale Rose Thompson. Mrs. Ambler was a longtime resident of Brooklawn. She worked for over 24 years as a secretary for Dr. Klein in Gloucester City. She was a Trustee and Member of the Administrative Board for the Brooklawn United Methodist Church in Brooklawn. She was very devoted to her church and was the "Sunshine Lady" for the Brooklawn United Methodist Church Womens' Society. Also she was active in the Girl Scouts of America in Brooklawn for 10 years. Relatives & friends are kindly invited to attend her viewing on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9pm from the McCANN FUNERAL HOME 851 Monmouth Street (at Brown Street) Gloucester City (856-456-1142). The viewing will continue on Thursday morning from 10 to 11am with a service at 11am from the Brooklawn United Methodist Church Maude and Hannevig Avenues Brooklawn. Interment Woodbury Memorial Park Woodbury. Family requests that memorial donations be made in Rose's memory to Brooklawn United Methodist Church Memorial Fund 213 Maude Avenue Brooklawn NJ 08030
