The daughter of Robert Douglas and Margaret Gibb. She was born in Leith, Midlothian, Scotland.
When this contributor first visited Agnes Owston's grave site in 1978, her complete tombstone with the footer was upright and visible. By 1988, the stone had sunk to where only the top inch of the stone could be seen. Since this was an endowed grave site, this contributor stopped by the office and asked for her stone to be reset. This the staff of Allegheny Cemetery most graciously fixed; however, only the top portion (and not the footer) was visible by the next visit in 1989. By 2004, the stone sunk backwards where the face of the stone was flat to the ground and only slightly visible.
