PULASKI – Maggie Lee Owens Akers, age 76 of 111 17th Street, Pulaski passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at her home. Born September 28, 1928 in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of the late James Davis Owens & Mary Minnie Hill Owens. Her husband, Charlie Durwood Akers and one sister, Minnie Ellen Taylor, also preceded her in death. Surviving are her three sisters, Dorothy Rena Warden, Pulaski, Lula Faye Trail, Pulaski, Elsie Newman, Tuscon, AZ; two brothers, James William Owens, Pulaski, Bobby Ray Owens, Pulaski. Funeral services will be conducted Friday 11 a.m. at Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. The family will receive friends Friday morning from 10 a.m. until service hour at Bower Funeral Chapel. Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski is handling the arrangements for the family.
