Emily was born to John and Gladys Merill Owens. She married Forrest Baker on June 14, 1935, in Waterloo, Iowa. Emily later married Merlyn Bolin on Aug. 18, 1950, in Kansas City, Kan.
Surviving are her three sons, Larry (Lauraine) Baker, Lee (Sharon) Baker and Lynn (Pearl) Baker; three grandsons, John (Connie) Baker, Steve (Kimbra) Baker and Ryan Baker; a granddaughter, Robin Baker; and three great-grandchildren, Leah and Lindsey Baker and Jack Baker.
Emily was preceded in death by her parents; adopted father, Don Campbell; her husbands, Forrest and Merlyn; and infant twin grandchildren.
Emily worked at Bergner's department store, downtown Peoria, from 1950 to 1960. She later worked for the Giant Store from 1960 to 1970, the Bell Clothing Store from 1970 to 1978 and then for the Methodist Medical Center gift shop until retiring in 2001.
