He attended local schools and graduated from Crowell High School and was known to be a quiet and serious student. He worked part time in his father's Foard City retail grocery.
He remained unmarried.
However, by the age of 20, his health deteriorated, and local doctors transferred him to a Fort Worth hospital, where he later died of a brain condition.
Bedside family in Fort Worth All Saints Hospital included sister NINA EVERIE OWENS TODD and brother-in-law TANNER BILLINGTON.
