"Lonnie" Verne Owens is middle child of three children born to "Lester" Bert Owens and Dorothy "Dimple" FLACK Owens.
He is grandchild of Theodore Robert "Mr. Thee" Flack and "Fannie" May THOMAS Flack and Richard "Emmett" Owen and Norah GOODSON Owen.
Lonnie is great grandchild of William McCune Flack and Susan Elener McCLURE Flack, James Jefferson "Jeff" "J.J." Thomas and Susan Matilda "Sis" TRAMMEL Thomas, Richard J. Owen and Mary E. GRANTLAND Owen, and Jefferson Pierce Goodson and Martha WHITTLE Goodson.
His siblings are "Bobby" Delano Owens and "Patsy" Gayle "Pat" OWENS Bruce Hughey.
Lonnie first married Glenda Sue GRANTLAND Owens McCutcheon on April 14th, 1956 in Corinth (Iuka), Tishomingo County, Misssissippi. Sue is daughter of George Odis "Ode" Grantland and Valerie "Claudine" LYLE Grantland Stanley.
Lonnie and Sue are the parents of "Phyllis" Jeannae Kwanja OWENS Faulkner OWENS and "Vonnie" Valeria OWENS Meriwether Davis Willis.
He did not marry, but fathered a son with "Jimmie Lou" JOHNSON. Jimmie Lou would not marry anyone. She was a very good hearted person. Jimmie Lou is daughter of Louis Johnson and "Ethel Mae" HAGA Johnson.
Lonnie and Jimmie Lou's son is Michael "Shannon" Johnson (Owens). He has a half brother named Vann Johnson.
He second married Lorene Victoria "Lody" CRYER Owens Brooks. Lody is daughter of William "Albert" Cryer and Buna "Beatrice" CHILDERS Cryer.
Lonnie and Lody's children are Timothy Wayne "Tim" Owens (Cryer), "Tracy" Joe Owens, and "Tabatha" Gail OWENS.
He is grandfather of Christopher Billy "Kris" McCutcheon (Meriwether), Judge David "Judd" Davis, Kristi Kwanja DAVS, Julia DaVonna DAVIS, Stephani CRYER (Owens), Timothy Cryer (Owens) and Kenneth Owens.
He is great grandfather of "Sarena" Kendra MERIWETHER, "Kristin" Ciara MERIWETHER and "Braxton" Allen Timothy Cryer (Owens).
