Floyd Lee Overby or Bob to everyone that knew him was the kind of man that demanded perfection on the field and in life. He was a college sports hero and all around sportsman that felt at home on a baseball diamond or on a football gridiron. When he found his bride and married her, he knew he'd knocked a home run. She was Clara Wilbur Coskrey of Summerton, SC. Clara Wilbur was a school teacher and so was Bob. They fell in love and were married. They were blessed with two beautiful daughters Barbara Gayle and Pamela Lee. Bob Overby loved his girls and was very proud of them. He never had a son to carry on the Overby name. My brother Hal was born first and named after our dad, Louis Arlo Holliday, Jr. When I was born my mother, Barbara Gayle named me after her daddy. My name was to be Jeffrey Lee Overby Holliday after Floyd Lee Overby. We all called him Daddy Bo and he was a hero in our eyes. Today it seems like a million years ago that we had him in our lives. If you knew him and loved him, you would miss his presence today with us. There is so much that needs to be said about the man we knew and loved. This is only a small testimony of his influence on me. Rest in peace Daddy Bo. You are not forgotten.
