Roy Hatcher Overbey was born in Christian County, Kentucky to Viola Jewell and Walter Overbey.

Roy went into the service of his country during World War II. He served in the Army from 1943 until his honorable discharge in 1946. He was attached to the Radar Signal Corps.

He married Helen Simpson on November 17, 1946 in Visalia, California. They recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.

Roy retired in 1985 from the chemical division of McKesson Corporation where he was District Manager for the San Joaquin Valley.

Roy is survived by his loving wife, Helen of Fresno; and by his nieces and nephews David Case and his wife Jean of Troy, IL, Andrea Owens and her husband Greg of Bakersfield, Patricia Rocha and her husband Lee of Tulare, Margaret Pires and her husband Joe of Tipton, and Norman Case and his wife Tina of Tulare. Roy is also survived by several great nieces and nephews as well as great great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two beloved nieces, Marilyn Whitman and Debra Russell.

Funeral Services will be private. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to donor's favorite charity.

Arrangements are entrusted to Miller's Tulare Funeral Home, Tulare, Ca.
