SLIGO - Walter Edward Over, 67, of New Bethlehem RD 3, a farmer in Porter Township for 35 years, died at 8:30 pm Friday at Franklin Hospital. He had been admitted Tuesday after a heart attack.
He was born October 19, 1907, in Piney Township, Clarion County, a son of Charles and
Mary Ella Ketner Over. On October 26, 1928, he married the former Verna Leota Lindenpitz who survives.
In addition to farming, he was a machinist for Bracken Construction Co. for the past five years. Mr. Over was a member of the United Church of Christ of Curllsville, the Masonic Blue Lodge of New Bethlehem, the Coudersport Consistory, the Clarion County Shriners and the Pittsburgh Shrine.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Richard, and two sisters, Wilda and Mabel. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm today in the Hawk
Funeral Home, Sligo. Rev. Edward McKee, a retired Presbyterian minister, will officiate, and interment will be in Rimersburg Memorial Mausoleum.
