Clarence M. Otteni, 95, 323 E. 10th St., died Monday, April 12, 1999, at Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
He was born in McKean, Nov. 18, 1903, son of the late Anton and Josephine Wingerter Otteni.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a farmer and also worked as a carpenter with his brother. He was a caretaker at The Kahkwa Club until age 85. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
He was the last of 12 brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by Anna Keyes, Sr. Patrice Otteni, SSJ, Theresa and Rose Otteni, Anton Otteni Jr. and William, Fred, Henry, Charles, Frank and George Otteni. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Francis V. Kloecker Funeral Home, 2502 Sassafras St., Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be held there Thursday at 10:15 a.m., followed by Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church, 315 E. Ninth St., at 11 a.m. Burial will be at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in McKean.
