Margaret Mary Cato, 94, of Davenport, passed away peacefully Friday, October 23, 2015. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM, Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at The Runge Mortuary. Funeral services will be held at 12PM, Thursday, October 29, 2015, in The Runge Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Davenport.

Margaret was born on April 13, 1921, in Jasper, Indiana, the daughter of Joseph and Bertha (Jasper) Otto. She married Lloyd Cato on July 12, 1942, in Evansville, Indiana. He preceded her in death on April 23, 1983.

Margaret retired from the Rock Island Arsenal after 22 years of service. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, The White Shrine, Amaranth, and a long time member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Margaret enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and cooking. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family at Christmas.

Those left to honor her memory include her children, James (Barbara) Cato, Mary (Eric) Koster, David (Katherine) Cato, Janice (Bruce) Goacher, and Mark (Lisa Zepeda) Cato; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son, and three brothers.

The family would like to send a special thanks to Dr. William Jerome, the staff at Heartland Health Care, and Senior Star assisting living for the care and support.
