A funeral service for Mrs, Harriett L. Abbey, 90, of 27 Rose Hill Ave., was held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Luke's Episcopal
Church with the Rev. Calvin Miller, officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Bearers were Thomas H. Abbey, Carl Berg, F. Gordon Coleman, Merle E. Dickinson,
Cecil M. Grinolds and Carl L. Parker.
Mrs. Abbey died Wednesday, Dec. 3, in Bradford Hospital where she had been a patient for one week.
She was born at Smethport Sept. 8, 1879, daughter of the late Porter and Ella Gifford Ostrander.
She was married to Ray L. Abbey Sept. 17, 1899, at Smethport. He died in February, 1949.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Oscar F. Stromberg and Mrs. Leila Schroth, both of Bradford, and Sister Jeannette
Clare CT of Glendale, Ohio; six grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren;
and a sister, Mrs. Maude Cournean of Kane.
Two sons, Lynn and Forrest preceded her in death.
