Michael was the eldest son of Frank and Maria (Bonk) Osiowy. My grandfather farmed many years several miles west of Lemberg, Saskatchewan, first with his father and then on his own.
He married Mary Krupski on April 8, 1931 and they raised four sons and two daughters. A fifth son died at birth.
He and Grandma moved to Regina, Saskatchewan in 1964 where Grandpa worked as a carpenter for contractors and did some cabinetry and finishing work of his own. In 1972 they moved into a new home that Grandpa built in Lemberg. He continued his carpentry work, providing treasured pieces to many of his children and grandchildren.
He passed away from a heart attack on Valentine's Day, 1981 less than two months before their 50th wedding anniversary. Grandma continued to live in the house until she sold it in 2007.
