Aline Blackmore, 87, peacefully passed away on Friday, February 27, 2009 in Amarillo, TX.
Aline was born in Texhoma, OK on May 8, 1921 and was raised with one sister, Euline Osborn Smith. Her parents were long time residents of Texhoma, Carl and Eula Osborn . Aline loved to read poetry and was an accomplished artist. After graduating at Texhoma High School, Aline met a wonderful man Scott Clinton Blackmore and they were married on June 30, 1941. Aline and her family were members of the First Christian Church where Aline taught Sunday school classes for many years. She was a member and past Worthy Matron of Order of Eastern Star, and Charter member of the Texhoma Garden Club. Aline also owned a ladies ready wear store for several years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Scott C. Blackmore on December 4, 2002, and a daughter Vicki Jean Blackmore Gose on October 24, 2001.

Survivors include a daughter Gwenda Caudle and her husband, Carroll, of Amarillo, Texas; son, Milton Carl "Bud" Blackmore and wife, Janet of Salt Lake City, Utah; her sister, Euline Smith of Edmond, OK; four grandchildren, Patricia Caudle Ubrig of Phoenix, Jeff Blackmore of Houston, Jenny Caudle Brown of Amarillo and Mark Blackmore, D.D.S., of Dallas and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be held 2:00 pm, Monday March 2nd at the First Christian Church, Texhoma, OK with Rev. Mike Hughes, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the Texhoma Cemetery under the care of Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon .

Visitation will be Sunday, 1:00-8:00 P.M. at Henson-Novak Funeral Directors, 501 NW Fifth, Guymon. There will also be a viewing on Monday morning, 11:00A.M. until service time at the First Christian Church in Texhoma.
