He was born January 31, 1920, in Murphy, NE, the son of Thure A. and Minnie (Anderson) Ortegren. He married Martha (Rasmussen) June 8, 1940 in Central City, NE. After attending Doane College in Crete NE, Ken became a Cabinet Maker and a Manager in the Lumber Industry .
He is survived by his wife: Martha Ortegren of Godfrey, IL, Son: Alan Ortegren & Bobbi, East Alton, IL, Daughter: Kay Spencer & Allan, Roxana, IL, Grandchildren: Marty & Shelly Spencer, Brian & Marissa Spencer, Sarah & Grant Chappel, Jason & Tabitha Ortegren, Marc Ortegren & Jenni Ortegren and 15 Great Grandchildren.
