Miss Anna M. Ormsby Expired Yesterday At St. Andrew's Hospital
Sister of Dr. O. B. Ormsby failed to Regain Consciousness From Stroke, Suffered June 14
Miss Anna M. Ormsby, 113 South 11th street, sister of Dr. O. B. Ormsby, died yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at St. Andrew's hospital where she had been a patient several weeks.
Miss Ormsby suffered a stroke June 14 from which she failed to regain consciousness. She was born in Murphysboro, August 13, 1865, and was 75 years, 10 months and 7 days of age at the time of death.
Miss Ormsby lived in Murphysboro until 1905 and at that time moved to California. Three years ago she returned to this city to make her home.
Older citizens will remember Miss Ormsby when she taught music in this city and was active in all musical organizations. In earlier years, she was director of the choir at the First Lutheran church and in her love of music found her chief interest in life.
Besides Dr. Ormsby, she is survived by another brother, P. D. Ormsby of Santa Cruz, Calif.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3:00 o'clock at the Ormsby home, 1328 Manning street with Rev. W. J. Boatman in charge.
Interment will be made at Tower Grove cemetery.
The body was removed from the Roberts Funeral chapel to the Ormsby home this morning.
