Former Pittsfield Woman Passes Away in Los Angeles
Mrs. William A. Campbell, formerly of Pittsfield township, died Thursday at Los Angeles, California, where she went in September to spend the winter, according to word received by relatives here. Mrs. Campbell had resided in Pittsfield township several years and previously had made her home in Ann Arbor and Muskegon for many years. She was prominent in club work in all three places and was president of the Washtenaw County Parent-Teacher association in 1926. She, formerly was Mattie Ormsby, and was graduated from University of Michigan in 1892.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. William A. Campbell now in Los Angeles; a daughter, Mrs. J.A. Steere, of Ann Arbor. - Times News.

Mrs. Mattie Campbell of Los Angeles, California, Formerly of Pittsfield, died suddenly Thursday morning of heart trouble. She had an infected throat. She is survived by her husband, Dr. William Campbell, of Los Angeles, California, and one daughter, Mrs. Lois Steere, of Ann Arbor and three grandchildren, William, Helen and Elizabeth Steere of Ann Arbor. The telegram stated she would be buried out west so the daughter left alone Friday evening to attend the funeral.
