Carol Emma Bethune, 94, former Duluth and Proctor resident, died Monday, April 5, 1999, in Puget Sound Health Care Center, Olympia, Wash.
She was born June 22, 1904, in Crookston, Minn., to Charles and Emma Olson Engebritson. She married George L. Bethune on July 23, 1934. Carol was a homemaker and had lived in Duluth and Proctor for most of her life, living in Tumwater, Wash. for the past 19 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George in 1981; sisters Lucille and Gladys; and a brother, Rollin.
She is survived by a daughter, Carol A. Hahn of Tumwater; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Burial was in Oneota Cemetery, Duluth.
