She grew up in Biwabik and graduated in 1927 from Biwabik High School. She also graduated from Detroit Commercial College. She was a legal secretary for Lucking, Van Aukon and Miller in Detroit, retiring after 20 years of service. She lived in Michigan and Florida until returning to Biwabik in 1991. She was a member of the Community United Church of Christ in Biwabik and the Biwabik Senior Citizens Club.
Her parents were Ole and Anna Olson. Her husband, W.J. Dungan, died previously.
She is survived by a daughter, Margaret Sullivan of Rochester Hills, Mich.; a stepdaughter, Katherine Curry of St. Claire Shores, Mich.; two stepsons, Donald Dungan of Gross Pointe, Mich., and David Dungan of Mt. Clemens, Mich.; a brother, Arnold Olson of Mulberry, Fla.; two sisters, Clara Helmer of Biwabik and Mable Sundquist of San Diego, Calif.; a grandson; and several step-grandchildren.
Inurnment will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Biwabik.
