Daughter of Robert & Rose Ella Oliver. She attended Navasota Public Schools and later graduated from Beauty School in Lubbock, TX. She united with New Hope Baptist Church. She married Henry Lee Banks, Sr. They had 14 children, three preceded her in death. Her survivors include her husband and elven children: Henry Banks, Jr., Walter Ray, Michael Wayne, Rose Ella, Kevin D., Brian M, Elton G., Eric B., and Hope E., all of Navasota, TX; Gary B. of Iowa, and Robert Banks of Houston; one brother, Robert Oliver; eleven grandchildren; eight aunts; and six uncles.
