James E. Oliver
James E. Oliver, 73, of 21st Street, Vienna, died Oct. 8, 2005, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Wood County, a son of the late Roy and Meredith King Oliver. He retired from G. E. Plastics and was a member of the Beechwood Presbyterian Church. He was a nine-year veteran of the U. S. Army and served in Europe.
Surviving is his wife, Susan Ellen Detamore Oliver; two sons, James A. Oliver and his wife, Connie, of Parkersburg and Michael N. Oliver and his wife, Linda, of Mineral Wells; two stepsons, Kim Anderson of Rockport and Kevin Anderson and his wife, Stephanie, of Mineral Wells; grandsons, David Scott Oliver and his wife, Jill, and Andrew A. Oliver; stepgrandchildren, Josh, Ashley, Jerod and Ryan Hopkins and Shannon, Glen, Christopher and Kristen Anderson; great-grandchildren, Brooke Oliver, Brianna Dunfee and Breanna and Hannah Schoonover; brothers-in-law, Charles Detamore and wife, Linda, Clyde W. Nelson and Benny L. Nelson; and mother-in-law, Ruth L. Detamore.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ursula Ann Nelson Oliver; and infant brother, Richard Lee Oliver.
Funeral services 11 a.m. Monday at the Beechwood Presbyterian Church with the Rev. John F. Koerner officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. today at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg.
