Annie "Katherine" Manning

Annie “Katherine” Manning of Marietta went to join her Savior on August 22, 2016. She was a (39) year resident of Marietta. She was a member of St. Peter and St. Paul Episcopal Church in Marietta.

She is survived by (5) children and their spouses; Caroline and Jim Woodruff of Acworth, Maurice L. and Paula Manning of “Cut N Shoot” Texas, Beverly and Ron Goodwin of Tucson, Arizona, Shelia and Terry Nittle of Scottsdale, Arizona and Mary and Geary Riley of Medina, Tennessee. She is also survived by (4) sisters; Azalene and Jack Goetzman of Osaka, Mississippi, Irene Blades, Sarah Goldman and Mildred Cade of Kentwood, Louisiana and Avis Hope of Denham Springs, Louisiana. She is survived by (15) grandchildren and (7) great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Pearle Mulkey and James Oliver of Kentwood, Louisiana and one sister, Hazel Smith of Kentwood, Louisiana.

Katherine Manning was born on May 13, 1926 at her home in Kentwood, Louisiana. She attended Mt. Herman High School and graduated in 1943. She graduated from Baton Rouge Business College and 1944 and went to work after graduation. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend of all that knew her. She was loved by many and always had a kind word to say. Her family was the joy of her life. During her life, she had several vocations in the 1950’s, 1960’s and 1970’s. During the 1980’s and 1990’s, she was a “million dollar” sales agent for Remax several years in a row. She was a volunteer for St. Peter and St. Paul Episcopal Church helping with numerous activities.

The service for Annie “Katherine” Manning will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at St. Peter and St. Paul Episcopal Church 1795 Johnson Ferry Road, Marietta, GA 30062.
Following the church service, a reception will be held at St. Peter and St. Paul Episcopal Church followed by internment at Cheatem Hill cemetery to follow.

The family asks that donations be made in the name of Katherine Manning (in lieu of flowers) to St. Peter & St. Paul Episcopal Church or the charity of your choice.
