Nora Oliver Harris, 90, of Ward went to be with the Lord on March 21. She was born Feb. 2, 1921, in Ward to C.E. and Ople Oliver.
She was a member of Old Austin Baptist Church in Austin for 75 years and was a faithful servant to her Lord, family and community. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hartford Harris; son and daughter-in-law, Guy and Norma Harris; one granddaughter, Debbie, and one great-grandson, Justin.
Survivors include a son, Louis and his wife Peggy Johnson of Beebe, and his children, Steve and his wife Pat Johnson of Austin and Teri and her husband Dwayne Roper of Cabot; son, Bill and his wife Wanda Harris of Ward, and his children, Cathy and her husband R.D. Davis and Vicki and her husband Dave Birt, all of Ward, Dusty Doughty of Temple, Texas, and Biff and his wife Janet Harris of Cameron, Texas; one daughter, Emma Ruth Harris of Ward and her granddaughter, Samantha Hartung of Wisconsin; two grandsons, John and his wife Bernice Harris of Clarendon and Richard and his wife Linda Harris of Sherwood; one sister, Ruth and her husband Tony Ramirez of Cabot; three sisters-in-law, Bobbie Harris of Little Rock, Jo Oliver of Cabot and Topsy Johnson of Clinton, and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 25. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 26 at Westbrook Funeral Home with burial in Butlerville Cemetery.
