Edna Olin Bishop
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Tuesday at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montague Home for Funeral in North Adams, Mass., for Mrs. Edna L. Olin Bishop, 85, native of South Shaftsbury, and resident of 68 Main St., North Adams, who died Saturday at the North Adams Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Bishop, who was formerly active for many years in the North Adams Democratic City Committee, received her education in the South Shaftsbury schools and moved to North Adams in 1910. She was the widow of Merton D. Bishop, was a member of the First United Methodist Church of North Adams and formerly belonged to the Women of the Loyal Order of Moose.
She leaves three daughters, Hildred A., with whom she resided, Effie L. Decouteau of North Adams and Dorothy Hoffman of Port Henry, N.Y.; two grandchildren and four great granchildren; and three sisters, Edith McCarthy of North Bennington; Mrs. William Schindler and Julia Gates of Bennington; several nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in Southview Cemetery in North Adams.
The family has suggested memorial contributions to the First United Methodist Church of North Adams or the Leukemia Fund.
