His parents died when he was young, and he and his sister were adopted by Theodore Henry Olbricht and Vernie Ruth (Pauli) Olbricht.

Veteran of the U.S. Navy (S1); serving in WW II.
Funeral services for Truman Olbricht were held Friday, August 22, at the Carter Chapel with Paul Watson officiating. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
Truman Olbricht, the son of Theodore and Vernie (Pauli) Olbricht, was born January 30, 1926 in Thayer, MO, and departed this life August 19, 1975, at Walnut Ridge, AR at the age of 49. He was united in marriage to Jean L. Arnold December 28, 1944 at Salem, AR.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Olbricht of the home, Thayer, MO; two sons, David Olbricht of Cartersville, GA; and Ted Olbricht of Thayer, MO; two daughters, Kathleen Olbricht and Jan Eliabeth Olbricht, both of Thayer, MO; one sister, Nina Lou Manes of Lake Village, AR; and two grandchildren.
One brother preceded him in death.
He was a member of the Church of Christ at Jeff, MO, and was an Elder in the Church of Christ.
