ALEXANDER GRANT OGLINE: S/o Jacob & Catherine Hildebran OGLINE. Born in Pennsylvania, Alexander followed his brother into Military Service never to return home,

Mustered into Calvary Co. "C", 2nd U.S. Calvary Alexander is believed to have been killed with many other calvaryman in his patrol somewhere in the plains of the Western United States' "Indian Territory".

Most probably scalped & not buried by indians, his body by picked apart by animals. A U.S. Gov't soldier's memorial stone has been held up for more than 100+ years due to lost records. Once the memorial stone is received it will placed next to his favorite brother & best friend Joseph OGLINE's tombstone.

Alexander's tombstone can not be placed next to his father Jacob Ogline's grave located behind Laurel Crest Manor in Ebensburg, PA. or in Canfield City Cemetery in Ohio where William Ogline is buried for logicticl reasons.

Alexander's name was carried on by his brother who'd named his son GRANT ALEXANDER OGLINE in memory of his brother.
