"Here lieth in hope of a joyful resurrection, the body of David Ogden who was born Oct 26, 1726, and who died in the triumphs of faith Nov. 28, N. S. 1801, for 57 years he adorned the Christian profession by a holy & exemplary life; & for 15 years discharged the duties of a Deacon to the first Presbeterian Church in this Town with prudence fidelity & acceptance. Softly his fainting head he lay Upon his saviours breast His saviour kiss1d his soul away And laid his flesh to rest"
