Funeral Services for Vonnie Robinson Odom, 87, of Blackville, SC will be held three pm Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Reverends Floyd Dukes and David O'Donnell will be officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the church. The Deacons of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers. Born in Bamberg County she was a daughter of the late Luther and Lelia Chitty Robinson. She was a homemaker, a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, the Kate W. Odom Sunday School Class, W.M.U. and worked with the food committee. She formerly worked as the Church Clerk, director of Mission Friends and taught Sunday School.
Survivors include her loving and faithful husband of 67 years Ruben Odom; a daughter, Faith O. (Rodney) Tanner of Aiken; sister, Bertie Lee Amaker of Williston; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Doris R. Beard and Margaret R. Odom.
