Services for Frances M. Oberschmidt, of Brookhaven, were 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Rosehill Cemetery in Brookhaven.

Mrs. Oberschmidt, 97, died Feb. 9, 2007, at Haven Hall Heath Care Center. She was born on Feb. 4, 1910, to F.V. McRee and Louise McCalip McRee.

She was retired from her work as chief resident advisor at Copiah-Lincoln Community College. She was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Jesse Ted Oberschmidt; her brothers, Marion R. McRee and Thomas I. McRee; and her sisters, Bette V. Stewart, Loyce M. Bee and Yvonne M. Cheairs.

Survivors are her daughters, Glenda O. Masselink, of Green Acres, Fla., and Karen O. Warne, of Wichita, Kan.; her special friends, Ron and Marci Wolff, of New Orleans, La.; and her three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one stepgrandchild and three great-stepgrandchildren.
