Shirley was born February 3, 1943 in Seymore, Texas, the daughter of S. J. and Shirley (Studer) Wallace. She lived most of her life in Abilene where she served as executive secretary at "The Bridge" for ten years. She enjoyed reading, video games, bingo, making candy and being with her family. Shirley was a member of the Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband, Rance Obenchain of Abilene; six sons, Rocky, Alan, Shannon, Jeffrey, John and Jesse Wise, all of Abilene; daughter Melodie Irvin of Tuscola; brother, Michael Wallace of Abilene; two sisters, Dannie French of Abilene and Mary Conway of Georgetown, TX; two stepsons, Charles Obenchain of San Angelo and Rance Allan Obenchain of Woodville, TX; two stepdaughters, Michelle Obenchain of Campwood, TX and Millie Paul of Brazoria, TX;15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and her infant son, Eddie.
