Charles P. O'Hearn, son of William and Hannah O'Hearn (deceased) was born near Keithsburg on January 21, 1894, and died at the home of his brother, Edward O'Hearn, in Aledo on Monday morning at 8:10 o'clock. He was reared and educated in the schools in Mercer county and spent most of his life on a farm with his parents. He had been sick for over a week with diabetes. He is survived by the following brothers and sisters: John O'Hearn, of Keithsburg; Edward O'Hearn, of Aledo; Philip O'Hearn, of Hallock, Minn.; Garrett O'Hearn, of Minnesota; Mrs. Katherine Shuts, of Galesburg; Miss Mary O'Hearn, of Seaton; Mrs. Dora McDougal, of Aledo; Mrs. Sal Mumey of Hallock, Minn.; and a number of other relatives.

The funeral took place from St. Mary's Catholic church in Keithsburg at 9:30 a. m. Wednesday with Rev. John T. Shields officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Catholic cemetery in Keithsburg.
