Ella Mae Holtsclaw, 78, of Lyons, Indiana passed away Monday, April 18, 2011 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Born November 8, 1932 in Sullivan County, Indiana the daughter of Harry Melvin O'Haver and Jessie Mae (Alsman) O'Haver.

She married Paul Waggoner Holtsclaw on February 23, 1952 and he precedes her. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lyons United Methodist Church where she served as the church treasurer for a number of years. She was also a member of the Newberry Order of Eastern Star and the Bloomfield Mary Rebecca Lodge. She graduated from Dugger High School.

Surviving relatives include her children: Susan (Anders) Johansson of Lafayette, Indiana; Steven (Darlene) Holtsclaw and Gary Holtsclaw all of Lyons, Indiana. She has four grandchildren: Mike (Maria) Harrison of Holly Pond, Alabama; Kristy (Brian) Worsham of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; Jeremy Holtsclaw of Lawton, Oklahoma and Dustin (Jill) Holtsclaw of Fishers, Indiana. She has two great-grandchildren: Rex Harrison and Ty Harrison both of Holly Pond, Alabama; one sister Shirley (Jr.) Pigg of Dugger, Indiana, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Waggoner Holtsclaw on October 4, 2004; one brother Dovie O'Haver, and her parents.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Byron Holtsclaw and Kristy Worsham officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Bloomfield. Eastern Star and Mary Rebecca Lodge will have memorial services at the funeral home on Wednesday evening.

In Lieu of Flowers the family wishes donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
