MABEL E. LONG - GRIFFA AVENUE
Mabel E. Long, 90, of Griffa Avenue, died at 4:15 a.m. Monday, Feb. 3, 1992, at Columbus Convalescent Center.
She was a homemaker and attended First Christian Church.
Funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday by Myers Funeral Service, Reed and Jewell Chapel, with the Rev. Harold E. Armstrong officiating. Calling will be 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to service time Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice of charities.
Born March 24, 1901, in Bartholomew County, Mrs. Long was the daughter of Edward and Effie Wray O'Haver. She married Fred Long March 28, 1923, in Columbus. He died Sept. 24, 1974.
Surviving are daughters, Jean Sego of Greenwood, Donna M. Thieman and Edna L. Hawley of Columbus, Patty Elkins of Greenwood and Alleena Hardwick of Indianapolis; 11 grandchildren, including Diana Mann and Bryan Hawley of Columbus; and 24 great-grandchildren.

Mabel E. Long, 90, died this morning at Columbus Convalescent Center. She was a resident of Columbus.
She was born March 24, 1901, in Bartholomew County. Her parents were Edward O'Haver and Effie (Wray) O'Haver. She married Fred Long March 28, 1923, in Columbus. He preceded her in death Sept. 24, 1974. Survivors include five daughters, Jean Sego and Patty Elkins, both of Greenwood, Donna Thieman and Edna L. Hawley, both of Columbus and Alleene Hardwick of Indianapolis; 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker.
She attended the First Christian Church of Columbus.
The Rev. Harold E. Armstrong will conduct a service at 11 a.m. Thursday at Reed and Jewell Chapel in Columbus. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to time of service Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus.
