Mr. O'Hara was found on a list of Civil War veterans buried here, but if there is a stone for him, it is probably a cenotaph since he died in the Civil War in Arkansas.

From Marilyn Morgan:
"Harrison is my 3x great grandfather. He died at the Battle Of Prairie Grove in Fayetteville, Arkansas and that is where he is buried. His name is on the memorial at Keosauqua but he is not buried there. Bodies were not usually transported home during the Civil War. There were not the resources to do so, and men were usually buried immediately following death. Harrison had been shot in the leg and died of complications after the leg was amputated."

He served in the 19th Iowa Infantry, Co. I. O'Hara, Harrison. Age 36. Residence Bentonsport, nativity Ohio. Enlisted Aug. 6 1862. Mustered Aug. 21, 1862. Wounded and taken prisoner Dec. 7 1862, Prairie Grove, Ark. Died of wounds Jan. 3, 1863, Fayetteville, Ark.
