Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel with Dr. Howard K. Batson of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.
Mrs. Burgett was born May 25, 1927, in Shawnee, Okla., to Charles and Ethyle O'Dell. She was a former member of Allegro Travel Club; Rolling Hills Riding Club; and South Amarillo Garden Club; and a current member of Palo Duro Good Sams and First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy J. Burgett, in 2008.
Survivors include a son, Charles J. Burgett and wife Becky; three daughters, Candace Hume and husband Jack of Franktown, Colo., and Brisbane, Australia, Linda Holman and husband Virgil of Amarillo, and JoDee Meadows and husband Bruce of Mead, Okla.; three granddaughters, Jennifer Lee Hume-Jorgenson of Franktown and Minnetonka, Minn., Amy Hume of Franktown and Istanbul, Turkey, and Jessica McIninch of Coalgate, Okla.; two grandsons, Robert Burgett of Sulphur, La., and David Burgett of Amarillo; and four great-grandchildren, Raylee and Caden Burgett and Abigail and Jacob McIninch.
The family suggests memorials be to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, P.O. Box 1890, Amarillo, TX, 79174-0001; Downtown Women's Center, 409 S. Monroe St., Amarillo, TX 79101; or BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105.
The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
