Alicia O'Connor Condon was born November 11, 1928 in Dallas, TX and died February 22, 2011 from complications of Parkinson's disease. In hope that something can be learned from this experience, she applied and at death was accepted into the study program at Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. She was the youngest daughter of Roderick and Alicia (Elms) O'Connor of Dallas, TX. Attended Holy Trinity Catholic School and after graduating from Ursuline Academy, she worked for Magnolia Oil before entering the Nurses Training Program at St. Paul Hospital where she became a Registered Nurse. Upon graduation, she entered the US Navy for two years being honorably discharged as a Lieutenant JG. Returning to Dallas, she married the love of her life on July 7, 1956. They made their home in Richardson and raised two sons. She attended University of Texas at Dallas and was an active member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Richardson and The Christian Community of God's Delight. If there are four words to explain what she was all about: Faith, Family, Friends and Forgiveness. Alicia was preceded in death by her parents, Roderick and Alicia (Elms); brother, Roderick; and sister, Margaret Braxton. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Bill Condon of Richardson; son, Bill and his wife Teresa of Valley Ranch; son, Tom Condon of Dallas; two grandchildren, Aaron Kyle Condon of Irving and Katie O'Connor Condon of Coppell; sister, MaryAnn Kervin of Bedford; special lifelong friend, Louise Braxton of Plano; and many, many cousins, nieces and nephews. Deeply loved and respected by her family and friends, words cannot express our loss. A Memorial Mass will be at 10:30 am, Saturday, March 5, 2011 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 720 S. Floyd Rd., Richardson 75080, Rev. David Flori, Celebrant. A reception will follow at the Parish Center. An inurnment will take place at Calvary Hill Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her name to the Texas Voice Project for Parkinson's ( Arrangements under the direction of Sparkman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Richardson, TX.
