Birth: 1843
County Cork, Ireland
Death: Jun. 25, 1876
Little Big Horn Battle Site
Big Horn County
Montana, USA

Private, Company L, 7th US Cavalry Regiment. He was killed, along with General George A. Custer and most of his unit, during the Battle of the Little Big Horn.

He had a third enlistment on May 20, 1874, at age 30, at Fort Abraham Lincoln, North Dakota, by Lieutenant George Wallace. He had dark eyes, brown hair, a ruddy complexion, and was 5 feet, 7 1/2 inches tall. Some records list his first name as Daniel. During the battle, his company was assigned to the Custer Column, and was wiped out on the afternoon of the first day of the three day battle. Initially the dead soldiers were buried where they fell, but the next year, the bodies were dug up and reburied in the mass grave on top of Last Stand Hill.
